Slice half of the lemons and limes into one-inch pieces one day before the wedding. Cut the citrus into one-inch slices. Fill the vases with water the day of the wedding. Place whole lemons and limes into the vases. Arrange the sliced pieces along the outside of the vase. Fill the middle with whole citrus, greenery or flowers.
