How to Make a Memory Coffee Table

    1

Decide on the theme for your memory coffee table. Gather the pictures and memorabilia that best fit that theme. To make your table more interesting, try to use at least two different types of memorabilia, such as pictures and postcards or ticket stubs and brochures.

    2

Next, mat your memorabilia. You want to create an even border around the memorabilia to make it stand out against the coffee table. Place the photograph or other memorabilia on a piece of card stock. Cut the card stock so that it evenly frames your item. Then use double-sided scrapbooking tape to affix your memorabilia to the card stock.

    3

Once your pictures are matted, you must decide where to place the pictures on your coffee table. Take the pieces you have decided upon and play with their arrangement on the table. Keep approximately 2" to 3" of space between each piece so the effect is not too crowded and each piece has the opportunity to stand out. By placing items at odd angles and varying their distance from one another, you will make your memorabilia stand out even more. If you find you need more items, simply repeat Step 2.

    4

Once you have decided where you want to place your memorabilia, remove everything from the table. Then clean the table thoroughly, making sure all dust is completely removed and the surface is dry. Clean both sides of the glass and dry with a microfiber cloth.

    5

Affix a small portion of double-sided tape to the back of the card stock and place your memorabilia on the table in the predetermined configuration. Once all memorabilia has been affixed, pick up the glass using the microfiber cloths and place it atop the table.
