How to Create a General Table in SolidWorks

Creating a general table in SolidWorks allows you to manually insert data into the drawing you are working on. A drawing in SolidWorks is a 2D representation of a 3D model. Inserting a general table into one of your drawings in SolidWorks is a convenient way to display data in a grid-like fashion. You can insert a general table in SolidWorks by using its general table tool.

Instructions

    1

Open the "Insert" menu, click on "Tables" and select "General Table."

    2

Select the default position of the table, its border and layer colors and styles, and the number of rows and columns you want the program to generate. You can also, if you want, click on the "Open table template" button to insert a saved template.

    3

Click on the tick to finish inserting the table. You can now insert data into the table by double-clicking on each of its cells.
