How to Make a Ticket Stub Coffee Table

Creating a ticket stub coffee table is a fun way to showcase your ticket stubs from movies, plays or concerts. This type of project is not difficult, but it may take some time to gather and prepare the materials. Adding a ticket stub coffee table to your living space can showcase your individuality and taste in entertainment. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Select a coffee table to use for your project. If you don't already have one, check local flea markets or thrift stores, or buy a new table. You will want a coffee table with a glass top, but one that overlays a wood, plastic or mesh backing so that you have something to affix your project to. Don't worry if you can't find a table like that. While that type of table is preferable, you can also use a plain glass-topped coffee table -- it will just be a bit less secure. Buy a large piece of card stock in the color of your choice and double-sided tape. Gather your ticket stubs.

    2

Remove the glass pane from the coffee table carefully, and clean both sides of the glass with glass cleaner. While it dries, cut your card stock to a size slightly smaller than the glass. Affix your ticket stubs to the right side of the card stock in whatever order or design you prefer using the double-sided tape.

    3

Lay the card stock with the ticket stubs attached onto the backing of the coffee table, if it has one. You can just lay it there, or you can tape it down if you want the piece to be more secure. Lay the glass pane on top of your ticket stubs. If you are using a table without a backing behind the glass, use the double-sided tape to attach the right side of your project to the back side of the glass. Tape all around the edges. Then lay the glass with the ticket stubs attached onto the table and use clear packing tape across the back of the project to the edges of the underside of the coffee table to support the card stock and ticket stubs.
